About Me

Hi I’m Leventhan and I created this blog – RMVXTUTS – to help fellow RPG makers to improve their RPG making skills and develop their stories into an RPG worth playing. The lack of quality tutorials and the release of the new RPG Maker VX are what fuels this blog’s raison d’etre. Prior to to this I have been using rpg makers since 2003 and have improved over the years to the point that I finally made a full-fledged project titled Project Leviathan. There’s also another concept-stage project called Project Automata which will be developed after Project Leviathan is finished. Do take time to check their own pages.

What first pulled me into creating my own RPGs was a sense of unsatisfaction. After playing numerous legendary titles such as Chrono Cross, Legends of Dragoon, and the awesome Playstation game Legends of Mana; I decided to create a game of my own and ended up finding RPG Maker in the process. My first time with RPG Maker XP was…I remember it being much more complicated than I originally expected. Even now, RGSS scripting and spriting is not my strong point, but I try to make up by improving in other points such as mapping, eventing, writing, and Photoshop skills. Each has our own strengths and weaknesses and it’s best to use the best of our abilities to achieve our best results.
