Project Automata
What is Project Automata?
Project Automata is a futuristic science-fiction themed RMVX project that I’ve been developing when I’m not motivated enough to work on Project Leviathan. It’s a more story-driven project which revolves around a mechanic drone, a form of existence that lacks free will and its encounter with freedom and “power”. The aim of this project is to pull in the player into the revolution by the mechanic drone “C0G1TO” and interact with humans and aliens alike in a chaotic galaxy in the eyes of one of “C0G1TO” human companion.

Story
Outpost Slavernus, a deep-space caste-oriented outpost located nearby a gas giant called Volkenon was the home of “CoG1To”; a mechanic drone made to work and serve until the day its machinery fails. Along with other drones with their own functions, drone lives aboard Outpost Slavernus were meaningless. Each day were like any other.
Many lifeforms live and work aboard Slavernus, even though most of them work as slaves only to be sold somewhere else. The Arilou of the Ethereal caste – the ones in charge of the outpost and the lower caste’s so-called “tyrants” – captures war prisoners and debt-holders and brings them to the outpost for “future uses”. Often these poor souls are sent down to the planet Volkenon, a gas giant known for its Cryole-rich rocks. Casualties are not uncommon in Volkenon due to its harsh environment and active tectonics.
On one fateful day, a single unknown breed of alien were brought to Outpost Slavernus and were referred to as an “Argos” which in Arilou tongue meant “Revelation”. It escaped through the slave cells despite being shackled and heavily guarded, causing havoc and confusion within the entire outpost.
CoG1To – while in the middle of a task- noticed this sudden state of emergency and confusion. Soldier were running around with weapons on hand and many others panicked. Due to its programmed mechanic curiosity, CoG1To dropped the task at hand and approaches the source of all the commotion. The “Argos” were hiding in an abandoned storeroom, where none of the soldiers would inspect. As CoG1To approached the unknown alien, steps of approaching soldiers can be heard. Suddenly, the “Argos” swiftly steps to face CoG1To and their eyes met.
What CoG1To saw in the alien’s eyes where memories, thoughts, and stories; gathered through space and time. The Argos were observers, they have watched many things in the universe and have gathered them in secrecy for some secrets are best kept a secret. The sudden burst of information crippled CoG1To’s main circuit and renders it offline, only to be restored a few days later. As the soldiers entered the abandoned storeroom and saw the Argos, shots were fired. There were no casualties other than the unknown alien. The crisis was over.
A few days after the incident, CoG1To rebooted and awoke to a higher state. It obtained…free will. With this newfound “power”, CoG1To wishes to free Outpost Slavernus from slavery and restore this chaotic galaxy into something every form of existence desires.

The Cregian Galaxy
Known for its Cryole-rich planets and asteroids, the Cregian galaxy have always attracted intergalactic visitors that wishes to obtain its valuable resources. It has a total of 5 planets : Volkenon, Halos, Lune, Hypnos, and X2. Due to the depleting amounts of Cryloe in the Cregian Galaxy, only two planets Volkenon and Kardus are left with it. The Halos and Lune constantly wages war with Kardus as their battleground to obtain these resources. As Volkenon is under Arilou control, neither Halos nor Lune dare to interfere.
There are vast amounts of life forms roaming this galaxy, many travel from neighbouring galaxies for trade and credits. These diversity may have caused the numerous colonies appearing all over Cregian.

Halos and Lune
Two out of the five planets in Cregian Galaxy, both beliefs constantly contradict with each other. The planet Halos worships the warmth of light and flame, upholds order above all else, and despises sin and mediocrity. The planet Lune adores the cold depths of the nebulas, dislikes order, and soughts after imperfection and mediocrity. It is unfortunate that both planets are close to each other.
The plasma cannons of Halos and the nova blasters of Lune are equal in power, therefore their conflict might never end without external interference. Their struggle for resources and pride continues on through the ages. Both planets value Cryoles to increase their overall firepower.

Hypnos
A small planet fully inhabited by ancient humanoids with cult-like hierarchy. Often called by other species “The Mad Ones” they have for aeons collected Cryole crystals for its healing properties. It’s no surprise what they’re going to do with it is not exactly good though. The Hypnos cult have wished to awaken a cosmic being within its planet’s core for generations with the use of large amount of Cryole crystals. If they manage to succeed, then the Cregian Galaxy is doomed.

X2
It’s original name was “Huraima” which in Arilou tongue meant “Dead Planet” For a long time it was a lifeless planet filled with nothingness, that is until the Arilou needed more organic resources to keep their slave population at an all time high. In 10 years, the entire planet was made into a lush green forest planet by changing its atmosphere and core temperature. It now houses many species of plants from which the Arilou gain organic food from.
After CoG1To’s awakening and escape from Outpost Slavernus, X2 was the place he arrived in. It was from that day forth the base of operations of CoG1To’s revolution, accompanied by other human and alien escapees from Outpost Slavernus.

Characters
Rowan
Once one of the Royal Guards in Planet Lune, Rowan was the few who were given the task of protecting elites in the Lune hierarchy. Brave, True, Honest, and Kind are one of the few requirements of becoming a Royal Guard. Things are going well for Rowan, until a group of bounty hunters managed to assassinate an elite whom was currently under Rowan’s protection. He was then sentenced into exile and ended up in Outpost Slavernus as a property of the Arilou. Rowan and Nibelung often clashes with each other due to their origins, but Asagi usually prevents them from beating each other up.
Asagi
Asagi is a scout from the Sol Galaxy, who was dispatched to explore Cregian Galaxy for potential resources and available economic trade routes. What she found was instead a galaxy on the verge of destruction. She was captured soon after by Arilou enforcers who brought her to Outpost Slavernus as the property of the Arilou. She intends to end the conflicts in Cregian in order to bring good results back to Sol Galaxy by joining CoG1T0 in its revolution.
Nibelung
A bounty hunter from Planet Halos, Nibelung left the Halos Imperium Orthodoxy in search of knowledge outside of Halos. Accepting dangerous jobs such as assassination, illegal smuggling, and kidnapping; Nibelung is one of the most wanted criminals in the Cregian Galaxy. However, ever since Nibelung met Asagi he has done no such crimes. Clashes with Rowan often due to their origins, as a Halos-Lune acquaintanceship usually ends up with one of the two DEAD.
